The Angus Slopitch league has been running for nearly two decades and it is combined with a junior division and a senior division. This league was started with only 4 Masters teams and Mr. Ray Lawson was the President of the league and was responsible, along with the help of the rest of the executive, for heading up the construction of the new fence and lights to make the ball park as nice as it is today, over a decade ago. Within 5 years (1996) the league grew quickly to 12 teams, adding a junior division to the league. We have an executive committee consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary; which all these positions have been handed down to new pledges over the years. We are consistently looking for ways to improve our ball park as well as our league. If you are interested in entering a junior or senior (over 35) team into the league, please go to the contact page and email any one of the contacts listed on that page. The league is played from the Angus Recreation Park located directly across the street from the Ontario Tree Seed Plant in Angus. We are currently using the SPN rules as the guidelines for our league. We host an All Star game along with a Homerun Derby every year for our dedicated fans that come to watch and cheer on our teams every game. It is hosted during our annual league tournament which is organized from the Park and accommodated with a food parlor and a fully licensed beer gardens. We also celebrate the season ending with a banquet which includes a dinner and awards ceremony. We invite you to come out and see our teams battle on the field, or join in on the fun and jump on a team yourself, or enter one of your very own teams to compete for the championship!
